Who builds your software or website matters as much as what gets built. The wrong choice costs you twice: once to build it, and again to fix it. Here is what we would ask before signing anything.
Do they explain things in plain language?
A good partner can tell you what they are building, what it costs and why, without hiding behind jargon. If you leave the first conversation more confused than when you started, that is a warning sign.
Will you own what you pay for?
Ask who owns the code, the website, the domain and the accounts. You should. Make sure logins, licences and files are handed to you and written down, so your business never depends on one supplier holding the keys.
Is there one point of contact?
When something breaks, you want one number to call and one team that owns the problem, not three suppliers pointing at each other. A partner who covers the whole job, software, site and the IT around it, is easier to deal with than a chain of separate vendors.
What happens after it is built?
Most of a system's life is after launch. Ask how support works, whether it is on call or on a plan, and whether it is the same people who built it. Build and disappear is common and expensive.
Local helps, but is not everything
A partner who can come to you when hands are needed and understands how business works in Cyprus is worth a lot. But also look for clear communication and work they can show you. We are based in Paphos and work with clients across Cyprus and abroad. If that sounds right, start a conversation, or read more about what you actually need first.
